CSI: Detroit Shelved Indefinitely After Cast Forced To Investigate Real Murder

Spinoff CSI: Detroit has been put on the shelf indefinitely after an incident that led the show’s cast to investigate a real life murder.

The program, which was being filmed on location in Detroit, found the actors investigating a murder during the first week on set. The cast believed that the scenario was either an interactive walkthrough for the script of the first episode or the producers attempt to get all the actors involved in a team building exercise. It was not until they solved the crime, that they realized the case was a real life murder and the man they were confronting for the murder, does in fact murder people. Producers promptly pulled the plug on production when they learned of the situation.

Editorial: I Just Don’t See Too Many Scenarios That End With You Not Getting Robbed By Me

Look, I’m not a huge fan of robbing people, but as it represents 50% of my income, I’m really not seeing too many scenarios playing out where I don’t rob you. I’m not saying you were asking for this, but following a guy into an alley to ask for directions in Baltimore is on par with taunting the lions on safari or buying a summer home in Detroit - something bad is bound to happen.

And I’ve been trying to play out possible scenarios where I don’t rob you, but they’re all pretty unlikely. I have one pictured where you offer me your money up front, which saves me the robbing you and you the being assaulted by me, but I cannot really justify why you would just give me the money.
